I work on a regular basis as a freelance location camera/drone operator for Calendar News covering a wide range of pre recorded and live breaking news stories for this ITV regional news programme.

I'm an experienced and creative lighting TV/Corporate camera operator. Although I'm based in Hull in East Yorkshire, I offer location filming services across the North/Midlands and whole UK. Extensively equipped with state of the art broadcast equipment including the Sony FS7 mark2 35mm 4K full sensor camera, Sony A7S3 camera and full lighting and sound kits. Amongst the cities I regularly work in are Leeds, Sheffield, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Sunderland, Nottingham, Birmingham, Grimsby, Doncaster, Derby And Leicester. With over 25 years of broadcast TV experience working for the likes of Sky Sports, BBC and ITV and Channel 4, I've worked on a wide variety of network and regional programmes including lifestyle, observational, light-entertainment, current affairs, news and sport for all of the main broadcasters and numerous leading independent production companies. I specialise in location filming and I'm equally happy to work as a single-man lighting camera operator or with a sound recordist. I'm accustomed to working to tight deadlines, often in difficult situations whilst maintaining a creative, sensitive and professional approach. Don't worry if you don't have the time or budget to send a director or producer as I am happy and confident to self direct including conducting interviews and driving a story. Location editing and uploading of footage via a laptop running Premier Pro CC is available as well as chroma key filming with large portable green screen backgrounds, dynamic moving b-roll footage via a Sony a7Siii with Ronin RSC gimbal and a Go Pro HD mini cam with a variety of mountings. I've experience of working with various sat trucks to shoot items such as live reports and press conferences. I've regularly operated Live U, Mobile view and WMT IP streaming equipment to feed rushes and undertake live broadcasts as well as experience of using BT and ADI fibre boxes.

Working as a shoot edit camera operator on location for BBC Look North in Leeds and Hull, BBC Breakfast live OB's and network coverage including 1, 6 and 10 o'clock network bulletins.
