Hello!
After 20 years of service as a technical librarian in various companies, I am returning to my original profession, translation. This is not a midlife crisis, but a true story of passion. I have always been passionate about language, and I still am.
I worked in this profession for 7 years between 1995 and 2006, including 5 years as a freelancer. I translated various types of documents such as technical specifications, marketing/advertising, tourism, academic theses, and press articles (especially sports). I also had the opportunity to translate two books on football, which were published in Japan in 2019 and 2021 respectively.
Despite my rather literary background, I have worked in technical sectors such as construction, automotive, oil and gas, and transport... I am therefore quite familiar with the technical field as well.
A native of Japan and having lived in France for almost 30 years, I believe I have a broad understanding of both countries. Therefore, in addition to translation, I can offer support in communication with Japanese people in your company, for example. This is more of an intercultural intervention than interpretation.
