Feasibility studies and techno-economic assessment of the Atol® process for the production of bio-ethylene from bio-based ethanol.

• Analysis of reference technical documents (simulation guide, process and equipment design, internal software manuals).

• Conducting a benchmarking study.

• Build, test, and validate process simulations using PROII, starting from study bases defined by domain specialists.

• Sizing of equipment: distillation and caustic wash columns, heat exchangers, reactors, compressors, and pumps.

• Energy optimization: heat recovery, thermal integration, critical flow calculations, and estimation of utility needs.

• Techno-economic evaluation (CAPEX/OPEX).

• Writing calculation notes, summary reports, unit balances, technical specifications, and preparing for design reviews.

• Collaboration with a multidisciplinary/international team (weekly meetings, technical coordination, interactions with different teams). Tools and methods: PROII, Excel, PFD/PID, sizing methods, technical English, project-based work.

Technical studies for the HVAC package for the construction of the MINES ParisTech campus (package budget: €9 million, area: 15,000 m²).

• Participation in the analysis of the Technical Specification Document (CCTP), architectural plans, regulatory requirements, and energy objectives.

• Thermal sizing of installations (heating, cooling, humidification).

• Selection of HVAC equipment and materials based on technical specifications and client requirements.

• Collaboration with internal/external teams and suppliers for system implementation.

• Production of technical deliverables: AutoCAD drawings, power tables, technical data sheets, summary reports. Tools and methods: AutoCAD, Excel, RT2012/RE2020, BEPOS, E+/C-, thermal balances, acoustic standards.

Analytical soil-road modeling to analyze the behavior of pavements on clay soils in the context of climate change.

• Study and adoption of the soil-structure interaction model through bibliographic analysis of ground movements.

• Adaptation of the model to pavements: modeling of deflection under various stresses.

• Coding and simulation under MATLAB and production of predictive tools for evaluating the sensitivity of infrastructure to soil movements.
