With the increase in the use of our solution by the various Business Units of the group, it was necessary for us to respond effectively to the increasingly important business needs.

Within the Navigation and Categories team, in addition to delivering new features, we optimized our applications to meet both the SLO (99% of requests in less than 100ms) and to improve our deployments (less resources consumed, fewer connections to Mongo Atlas) and this, with a GreenIT perspective.

Thanks to our hexagonal architecture, we migrated our PubSub producers and consumers to Kafka.

With the help of taxonomists and using the Neo4J graph-oriented database, I set up the API to manage navigation and taxonomy trees to link categories and products.

The main objective was to quickly provide relevant results. For this, after passing the Neo4J certification, we applied all the query optimization techniques.

I joined the team in charge of redesigning the Opus project, Adeo's (Leroy Merlin) omnichannel publishing tool.

My job was, initially, to set up the core of the application: the API, the back office and the front office.

We have implemented the best development practices: pair programming, unit, functional and performance tests, TDD, clean code.

Rapid skill development on NestJS and MongoDB was necessary to provide a quality product to meet the business requirements of the various business units.

Throughout these years, in close collaboration with the ops, we have implemented technologies and methodologies allowing our projects to be efficient and qualitative (GCP, Kafka, CircleCI).

I therefore participated in the implementation and enrichment of the category API (CRUD, meshes, population, ...), the interface and the navigation API (relationships between categories)
