About Kevin

Hello,

I have been working as aReact Native mobile app and React web developersince 2019, the year I changed careers after an initial career in digital marketing.

I have developed two websites using Gatsby and NextJS, and a white-label cross-platform mobile video streaming application used by about ten TV operators worldwide.

I am comfortable with development best practices (agile methods, code reviews, pair programming, unit tests, Git versioning, etc.) and can easily integrate into your teams.

Whether you need to:

- temporarily strengthen your teams to meet tight deadlines,
- develop the MVP of your mobile application, or simply evolve it with new features,
- develop a website to promote your business, sell your products and services,

let's discuss it!

The tools and platforms I regularly work with:

- Cursor IDE
- Github
- Jira
- Jenkins
- Netlify

Mastered Technologies:

- React Native
- React / NextJS
- Redux
- JavaScript / TypeScript
- Styled Components
- ESLint / Prettier
- GraphQL
- Jest

iFeelSmart is a company that designs, develops, and deployswhite-label applicationsfor smart TVs, TV boxes, and mobile screens. Its clients are TV operators in various countries worldwide (USA, Israel, Singapore, Qatar, South Africa).

I joined iFeelSmart after the development of the first version of the mobile application to contribute to the product's enrichment through **adding new features**, **integrating new clients**, **resolving bugs**, and providing customer support for the deployment of their mobile applications.

    Agile team composition:
    • International team, working in English and French
    • 2 to 5 developers
    • One Product Owner
    • One Product Manager
    • 2 to 3 QA engineers

    Team organization:
    • 2-week sprints (Poker & sprint planning, daily meetings)
    • Pair programming
    • Code Reviews

    Technical Stack:
    • Javascript / TypeScript
    • React Native
    • Redux
    • RxJS
    • Jest
    • ESLint, Prettier, Husky
    • i18n

    Examples of features developed:
    • Parental control
    • Language management via settings (application, audio, and subtitles)
    • Chromecast
    • Recordings
    • Device Management
    • Deeplinks
    • Tab navigation
    • Starter Kit (user onboarding)
    • Custom theme
    • Analytics (Firebase, Conviva)
    • ...

Part of the work to integrate these features required the development of a multi-backend REST API to unify the various client backends (Kaltura, Seachange, Vubiquity...) consumed by the white-label mobile application.

Actions taken to improve code quality, maintainability, and DX:
    • Refactoring Class Components to Functional Components, using hooks
    • Migration to TypeScript
    • Updating React Native from version 0.64 to 0.72

    🏆 Results:

During my collaboration with iFeelSmart, we integrated about ten new clients, including: MTN, Nickelodeon, Starhub, Ooredoo, XL, Olib, and vsyn+.
