About Kévin

After general training in various web professions, I specialized in Front-end development. I worked for 2 years in web agencies in Canada & New Zealand, and 3 years in an IT consulting company (Neolynk) in Paris for companies in the media, pharmaceutical, and luxury sectors.
Since transitioning to Freelance, I had the opportunity to work with the Apsulis agency in 2018, then at La Française des Jeux in 2019 on the redesign of the EuroMillions & Keno web applications, and on the Eurosport platform in 2020/2021.

Redesign of the Eurosport platform. Collaboration within an international team and application of agile methodology, mostly remote work throughout the year. Product Owners are based in England, QA in India, and development in France (Front-end team composed of about ten developers). The main project is a mono-repo with separation of concerns into different packages: server (page rendering), core (business logic), UI components, video player, Cypress tests...

Redesign of the Euromillions and Keno Web Apps. These Web apps are integrated into the www.fdj.fr website and are responsive on all devices. Euromillions consists of 3 sub-mini-apps: Game grid, Quick Flash, and Multichance. The user can create their favorites, choose their draw days, add options that increase their winnings, subscribe to play the same grids for a desired number of weeks... With a single game mode, the Keno redesign incorporates some elements from Euromillions but integrates different management rules.

    - Creation of models with ES6 classes, allowing their properties (and their typing) to be exposed. Typing with Typescript (interface, enum...)
    - Use of Redux Thunk to manage asynchronous actions.
    - Redux actions are layered via "events". These "events" can dispatch multiple actions sequentially using Redux Batched Actions.
    - Implementation of tracking for user events like clicks and page loads.
    - Code following best practices: Eslint, Stylelint, Commitlint, Prettier.
    - Tools to control module and bundle weight: Webpack Bundle Analyzer, Bundlephobia.
    - Unit Tests with Jest, Enzyme.
    - Refactoring of styles following the BEM methodology, CSS class hashing. Work using Agile methodology, using Jira.
