As an Analytics Engineer, I work on transforming company data in DBT so that it can be easily used by Data Analysts.

As part of this mission, I have notably evolved their data transformation tool:

I implemented a Data Platform within this company to solve various data-related problems they had:

Considerable loss of time and efficiency: they were working with GSheet files that were manually populated and maintained.
Lack of visibility on several key indicators: the difficulty of filling these files meant they could not analyze their various indicators in detail (churn rate, acquisition costs, student graduation success rates, product cost tracking, customer LTV, ...).
Divergences in figures shared within the company: manual maintenance of these files led to numerous errors in the figures (copy errors, typos, ...) which made the communicated indicators unreliable.
Definitions of indicators that vary from one department to another: to talk about the same indicator, not all teams had the same definition.

I therefore implemented various tools to address these issues and facilitate everyone's work within the company:

Use of Fivetran to extract all data from various cloud tools
Development of transformations using DBT to centralize all relevant data
Creation of custom dashboards in Tableau Software

I am still working with them today to leverage all the analytical opportunities offered by this Data Platform and this new centralized data that can now be easily used.
