Kathrin Kriesch

Hi, I'm Kat, an illustrator, author, and athlete from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

During my hikes and travels, I capture places as sketches, maps, and illustrations. No matter how heavy my backpack is – I'm rarely without a sketchbook and some paints.

I combine traditional techniques like watercolors, gouache, linocut, and embroidery with digital art on my iPad. Whether I'm being creative on a mountaintop, in a hut, on a train, or in a hip café: I'm always looking for the little details that make a place unique.

With a background in competitive sports, a Master's degree in Socio-Economics, and work experience in science, IT, and the digital sector, I bring a diverse perspective to all projects.
