About Julie

Working as a freelancer since 2002, I have over 20 years of experience in visual design and identity for digital media.

Through digital branding, I give a voice to a brand via a logo and/or a graphic charter that adapts to today's channels: website, social networks, videos, mobile application… striving to maintain strong identity markers from the smallest to the largest screen. Using graphic and conceptual design, my aspiration is to let humor, poetry, and beauty shine through the screen.

I have had the opportunity to work for a wide variety of sectors: culture, luxury, media, beauty, tech, etc.
I enjoy working for established brands and institutions, when it comes to understanding an existing universe, fitting into it, or evolving it.
I equally appreciate visual creation for start-ups and young companies, where everything is to be invented.

My clients include agencies (Meaningful, Rapp/DDB, Is&a bloom, Soyuz…) as well as advertisers (National Museum of Natural History — for which I created the digital charter and then the design system —, Radio France, Ulule, Journe Watches…) with whom I collaborate directly and who appreciate my autonomy. I also know how to communicate with integrators, graphic designers, UX designers, sound designers, or motion designers and find the necessary resources to assemble a team of freelancers.

Since 2018, I have been supporting the Museum's teams on their digital visual identity. After creating the intranet design, the Museum commissioned me to translate and enrich its newgraphic charter**, designed solely for print media, to its digital communication channels: **website, social networks, videos, and newsletters.

The graphic design of the mnhn.fr website received particular attention to make itaccessibleto users with disabilities (partially compliant accessibility). Colors and contrasts were checked using tools throughout the creation of the mockups. Additionally, I providedgraphic guidelinesdocuments as well as templates (Photoshop or Adobe Express files) that could be reused by the Museum's teams to produce content for **social networks**: Instagram/Facebook (posts, carousels, stories), YouTube (branding, thumbnails, video intro/outro...). As social networks evolve rapidly, I am currently working on improving and creating new templates to meet new usage patterns.

I was then commissioned to create the Museum'sdesign systemon Figma, which serves as the basis for the 13 visitor sites, libraries, and scientific databases. I am still involved in improving the component library according to the Museum's emerging new needs.

I also created the graphic design for thesignage screenslocated near the entrances of the Jardin des Plantes by creating different templates: workshop schedules, announcements of births at the Menagerie, current exhibitions, etc.

I also collaborate with them occasionally on the graphic design of web content: creation of speciespictogramsfor zoos and gardens, **timelines, infographics**... where the graphics must balance scientific rigor.

I contacted Julie to finalize a preliminary visual identity. I needed a starting visual identity kit to launch our business. Julie perfectly captured what I wanted for my brand. I left with a mini graphic charter, a revisited logo consistent with our evolution. I was also able to project my brand onto social media variations and a web page. It's exactly what I wanted. She is a very professional young woman and communication is fluid. I recommend Julie without hesitation.
