Julien Smit

With nearly 10 years of experience in project management assistance, I am a curious individual with strong analytical skills, capable of quickly understanding business needs, formalizing them, simplifying them, and proposing solutions that are sometimes innovative and, above all, adequate, fitting within cost, deadline, and quality constraints, while respecting the architectural rules defined by urban planners. My ability to have a global vision and understand architectural patterns allowed me to act as a transverse functional architect (bridging between numerous development teams) at Bouygues Télécom for 18 months. Before that, I spent over 7 years at Essilor in various roles ranging from IT project management to solution architecture for a commercial system (in-house ERP), including various experiences and training in Agile as a Product Owner. Previously, I started my career as a developer in technologies as diverse as web (PHP, Javascript, XHTML, Ajax), Java, or C#/.NET. This career history allows me to better understand issues raised by development teams and to design realistic and workable solutions (I also spent a few months in Operations). Finally, on a personal level, I have a strong interest in everything related to the design of atmospheres, places, immersive experiences, and architectures, with a particular taste for the aesthetic, creative, and innovative aspects. This means I personally enjoy taking the time to present things well, and I value quality and original, impactful ways of transferring knowledge. I would appreciate assignments in the immersive entertainment, arts and shows, travel, and building architecture sectors.
