Julien Pons

Graduated with a Master's in English Literature in 2018 after writing two translation theses, I had, however, started much earlier to combine my passions for writing, the English language, and video games. A gamer at heart, I first worked as a volunteer writer for a gaming website (Gamingtest.fr) before embarking on professional translation, notably writing the official localization of the video game Betrayer (by Blackpowder Games). I have since completed several translation and proofreading projects, mostly related to video games (Spirits of Xanadu, Aggressors: Ancient Rome...).

Although I currently work as a technical writer, I do not accept offers in the fields of aeronautics and engineering. As a freelancer, I would primarily like to reconnect with my initial passions. I have notions of HTML and CSS, in addition to my experience in both critical and creative writing, in French and English. I am used to deadlines through my academic background and translation experience, and I have acquired a good knowledge of computer tools.

I am looking to accumulate experience in my field of interest, and I am therefore open to any offer in the field of video game localization, or possibly in other related fields such as subtitle translation.
