Julien Ponnou

Passionate about new technologies, I am an electronics, robotics, and industrial computing engineer with about ten years of experience in embedded systems development. Curious, dynamic, and empathetic, I enjoy deeply understanding the technical and human needs of a project to propose reliable, high-performance solutions adapted to real-world constraints.

Throughout my experiences, I have worked in demanding environments with strong real-time and memory constraints. I have developed low-level drivers in C, set up bootloaders (U-Boot), and designed middleware in C/C++.

I have had the opportunity to work on various systems—VxWorks, STM32 RTOS, or embedded Linux (Buildroot, Yocto)—which has allowed me to master the complete embedded development chain, from hardware to application software.

I have also worked with numerous communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I²C, TCP/UDP, as well as IoT protocols like Wi-Fi or 4G.

Finally, my curiosity has led me to explore other areas of software development, particularly the creation of mobile or web applications using Qt, ReactJS/VueJS, and NodeJS, which allows me to have a global vision of connected systems.

Thanks to my background in electronics, I also have solid foundations in microelectronics, enabling me to collaborate effectively with hardware teams and optimize software integration.
