Experience

  • WayKonect
    Solutions Architect
    ENERGY AND UTILITIES
    November 2023 - Today (2 years and 7 months)
    Lille, France
A subsidiary of Total Energies, WayKonect is the group's subsidiary specializing in eco-mobility solutions, for supporting Total Energies' customers in the transition of their energy consumption for their travel.
To be most effective in this mission, WayKonect activates several levers: a transformation program of its IS (rEVall) and an innovation approach.

I intervened as a Solutions Architect to:
    - Support and industrialize demonstrators from innovation
    - Participate in the Architecture Committee: validate the viability of the proposed solutions, that the architecture and cyber-security requirements (WayKonect and Total Energies) are respected
    - Create the microservices necessary for the projects (ex: vehicles and connected charging stations)
    - Monitor the compliance of achievements with the decisions of the Architecture Committee
    - Study Streaming solutions (ex: AWS SNS/SQS, Kafka) and in particular their suitability with business projections (ex: costs, performance)
    - Identify architecture points to improve (ex: dependencies between components), define the corresponding targets and trajectories (ex: repositioning of middlewares as ETL and API Gateway tools)
    - Defend the architecture principles and patterns used (ex: API Gateway, events, Backend For Frontend)
    - Promote a domain-driven approach, especially for microservices and data (DDD)
    - Integrate new suppliers and define data integration, storage and querying patterns for large volumes (forecast of several billion messages, ex: IOT data, Total Energies card transactions)
    - Propose a solution for processing and securely providing KPIs proposed by the innovation team for internal users and pilot customers

  • Auchan Retail International
    Solution Architect
    RETAIL (LARGE RETAILERS)
    August 2021 - October 2023 (2 years and 2 months)
    Villeneuve-d'Ascq, France
The team, "Yoda", is in charge of the Exchange Platform of the Auchan Retail International group.
Central mandatory point of passage for exchanges between all the group's applications (6 Corporate Business Units + 10 countries), the platform is a vital system that supports strong business and financial stakes and allows the realization of a global turnover of more than 16 Billion Euros per year.
It must therefore provide practical, controlled, secure and highly reliable services (SLA 99.99%, SLO 99.997%).
SOA platform, it serves several services including:
    - API Management for the exposure of synchronous (HTTPS REST/SOAP) as asynchronous APIs: Queuing (JMS/AMQP), streaming (Kafka), files (SFTP, AS2),
    - application interoperability (application integration: ESB, EAI, ETL),
    - message dispatcher

    Mission:
As the platform architect, I am responsible for its positioning via the services rendered and the engine of its evolution (with the enterprise architecture teams, the technical architects and the data team).
    I intervened to:
    - Identify the structural problems of the existing platform (isolation of processing, obsolescence, loss of SLA and scalability), frame, design and monitor the implementation of new solutions
    - Design platform evolutions (ex: resilience, observability, Cloud migration),
    - Provide my expertise to solve recurring problems and identify evolutions and quickwins
    - Co-build and promote the roadmap, defend projects and carry them out successfully
    • Technological modernization (containers, Event Driven Architecture, secret management, service sustainability)
    • Reusability, testability, reduction of TTM (ex: no code)
    • Respect for strategic axes
    • Study and select future technologies (POCs, RFP)
    • Build a first version of the new solution (MVP, POCs securing OAuth2 of Kafka, Event Driven & CQRS API)
    - Promote good practices, transmit knowledge to the team
    - Facilitate exchanges with platform stakeholders
Environment: SOA, ArchiMate 3, UML, API Management, Security (OAuth2), Java/Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Cloud Azure (IaaS & SaaS).

  • OUI SNCF
    Architect & DevOps
    TRANSPORTATION
    April 2019 - August 2020 (1 year and 5 months)
    Lille, France
Serving the many teams of the SNCF group, the New Data team (Big Data division) aims to offer cross-functional solutions to all projects that facilitate the production and exploitation of data, numerous, varied and produced in large quantities by applications (peaks > 8To/j).
The aging of the existing stack for centralizing logs and metrics and its limits have led to the need for a new product to better meet our customers' needs: the DataPlatform.

I intervened from the product design to contribute to the collection of needs and the construction of the functional, technical and commercial vision and then to realize it.
Proposed as a SaaS solution, the DataPlaform is open and covers all the needs of the projects: from the production of data to its storage (ex: Data Lake), its security and its governance (ex: access rights, lifespan).
Like market solutions (ex: DataDog, Instana), it allows to cover the "Ops" use cases related to observability (ex: visualization, monitoring of KPI and SLA, alerting, APM) but adds an "open" business dimension.
The fact of correlating all the data brings a significant advantage compared to other solutions, oriented purely towards operations and allows many projects to contribute quickly and efficiently to a DataLake.
Another strength of the solution is to propose to experiment, via a single portal, and to cross-reference the data between them to generate new business data (ex: clustering of customer behaviors via AI/ML) without manual intervention from the team.

Environment: Microservices, Docker, Ansible, Consul, API Gateway (Gravitee.io), OAuth2/OIDC (Keycloak), Java/Spring Boot, Angular 8, Mongodb, Avro, ElasticSearch, Fluentd, Nifi, JupyterLab, AWS.
