Julia Nau

I help film productions, publishers and startups scale their visual assets while guaranteeing a handmade illustrated and cinematic quality. My work combines a fifteen-year background in traditional fine art and narrative development with advanced generative AI pipelines that make the production seamless, quick and scalable in the long run. Never without a human hand and look, but publishable and high standard, with processes that integrate AI with hq-retouching and actual design work.

My creative practice is built on long-term collaborations across independent film, book publishing and illustration and design. Because I work closely with scripts and can develop unique effective Creative Direction that works both for branding and publishing and single projects, I approach AI tools from a foundation of structural storytelling, narrative flow, and character consistency. I believe that AI can be a phenomenal tool when used when actually needed after developing a visual identity that is on point and clear. Rather than generating standalone images, I focus on workflow architecture. I design, test, and implement custom pipelines if necessary and operating procedures that allow independents as well as pre-production teams to increase their reach, creative vision and output while maintaining strict art-style direction and quality control.
