Julia Gierlach

I am an illustrator specializing in animated 2D graphics.

With experience from permanent positions at the agencies simpleshow/Berlin and min Jung/Cologne, I have the know-how to transform voiceovers into easily understandable storyboards and then translate them into animation-optimized graphics (pixel or vector) that motion designers can work with.

I also enjoy drawing (employee) portraits, advertising mascots, and other characters, or landscapes. Creating SVG graphics for websites or thumbnails for YouTube and similar platforms is also no problem.

I love the mathematical-logical area of thinking, creativity, and also have a great affinity for languages. This flexibility certainly helps me to quickly grasp contexts and find the optimal graphic solution - no matter the topic.

Furthermore, I am in exchange with many colleagues who also work in illustration or have excellent knowledge of print pre-press, advertising text, and motion design (2D & 3D), and can always get an objective external opinion, which greatly enriches my work.

During my work at the aforementioned agencies, I had the opportunity to work for major companies such as Daimler, Bayer, and television broadcasters such as ARD.
