Context

Users were using the Autocad software with an SQL express database. Only the user who created the database could create an Autocad project with a database. But when another user tried to create a project, it resulted in a software error. The client wanted all users to be able to create an Autocad project with a database.

Tasks

To find the solution, I first read the documentation provided by the Autocad editor for using a database with Autocad. After some research, I noticed that a specific role was missing for the user group on SQL express for everyone to be able to create a project with a database.

After adding the correct role to the user group, each person could create an Autocad project with a database.

Context

KeedzStore is a young company founded by students to sell eco-responsible clothing through an e-commerce site. The e-commerce site is developed with Wordpress and the woo-commerce plugin.

Tasks

- The goal of this mission was to redo a part of the e-commerce clothing sales site, developed on Wordpress with the wooCommerce plugin, in order to improve it.

- The first task was to bring the site into compliance with GDPR by adding a banner. To do this, I installed the Complianz plugin, which is free and allows a banner to be displayed so that users can adjust their preferences for the site's cookies.

- I modified the homepage to display bestsellers and the different categories of clothing sold.

- The site needs to be translated into English. For this, I used the WPML plugin, which allows for the translation of a Wordpress site and the management of all site translations.

- I updated Wordpress and the various plugins. The site was still on version 5.6 of Wordpress. To do this, I backed up the site and transferred it locally, so I could update the plugins and Wordpress, checking after each update that the site was functioning correctly and that there were no problems. These updates allowed the server to be upgraded to the latest version of php8.

- When all project tasks were completed, I provided training to the client so they could make minor modifications to their site with confidence.

Context

The client renewed their OVH subscription, but after that, the site was no longer online.

Tasks

My mission was to bring the website back online. To do this, I logged into the client's OVH interface. Following this, I saw that the domain name was not pointing to the server's IP address where the site is located. From the OVH interface, I changed the IP address between the domain name and the website to keep it online.

I also installed the SSL certificate to secure the website.

The site is back online and secure.
