José Manuel Rivas

Hello, I am José Manuel Rivas, Computer Technical Engineer from the University of Cádiz and a technology enthusiast.

In my career, which began over 8 years ago, I have worked in all sorts of companies:

- Spanish and foreign startups like Taxible (one of the first apps in the taxi sector in Spain) or GlampinHub (leader in unique accommodations and vacation rentals)

- Large consultancies like Ayesa where I was able to develop my first major projects and start my direct relationship with key clients like Repsol.

- Medium-sized digital transformation companies like Paradigma Digital where I learned all about agile methodology while working with talent from all over Spain on large projects with companies in the telecommunications and banking sectors like BBVA.

I am certain and confident that in all these places I have been able to give my best and leave with more knowledge than I arrived with.

Technologically speaking, I specialize in the Python language and the web frameworks Django and Flask (or FastAPI) for microservices or REST APIs.

Although I consider myself a Backend developer, I also have expertise on a smaller scale with AWS (dynamoDB, Lambda Serverless, S3, RDS…), Elasticsearch.

I consider myself an active person in the Python community, having collaborated by giving some talks at both national conferences and more local events).
