Graduate in English Philology. High School English Teacher for the last thirty years.
I have done a significant number of Spanish to English translations on diverse topics, mainly historical. I have also interpreted on several occasions for companies in the area where I live.
I have translated a good number of English to Spanish texts, especially testimonies of British soldiers who fought in Spain during the War of Independence. Several of them are published in the proceedings of the regional study days of 2008, 2010, and 2012, organized by the Federation of Cultural Associations of Siberia, La Serena, and Las Vegas Altas. They are digitized on their website.
I also translated stories by Lord Dunsany for local magazines. For some years now, under the title "History as you've never heard it told: British troops in the Spanish War of Independence," I have been publishing a series of war episodes on the iVoox platform, largely based on the translation of the testimonies I have mentioned.
Some of these episodes are also published with the same title on YouTube.
In the Publications Department of the Diputación de Badajoz, you can find my book on the siege and capture of Badajoz in 1812. The title refers to the event and the British sources translated for publication: "April 1812. Siege and Capture of Badajoz: Wellington's Dispatches; J. F. Burgoyne's Diary; J. MacCarthy's Memoirs".
