Joris Callaerts

As Lead UX/UI Designer in an agency that consists of Brand Designers and Developers, it's my goal to bridge the gap between these two. I'm responsible for end-to-end design processes (from research to delivery) and work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to translate wishes and requirements into intuitive, accessible digital experiences.

On a daily basis, I translated banking flows into intuitive user experiences by conducting user tests, refining user journeys, and defending design proposals directly to product owners and diverse business stakeholders.

Another part of my role was contributing to and maintaining our design system. This involved ensuring strict brand consistency, implementing polished UI components, and collaborating closely with developers for implementation.

With the merger of Crelan and AXA, there was a need for a unified mobile application to replace the two existing ones. This project involved designing and delivering a completely new app that would cater to the user needs.

Working closely with a dedicated team of developers, testers, analysts and fellow designers, we successfully delivered a minimum viable product in a short period of time. Starting from a blank canvas, we developed an app that met all the requirements for functionality, accessibility and user experience.
