Jorge Millán Paz

I am Jorge Millán, a senior network and security architect and engineer N3/N4, founder of Ria Networks SL.

I help companies design, migrate, and optimize network and security infrastructures in critical environments, focusing on high availability, performance, operational continuity, and clear documentation. My experience covers on-premise, data center, distributed sites, corporate WiFi, SD-WAN, perimeter security, and hybrid cloud projects, from initial assessment to implementation, advanced troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer to operation teams.

I work with manufacturers and platforms such as Extreme Networks, Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Check Point, Sophos, SonicWall, Aruba/HPE, Dell, Avaya, F2, Azure, and AWS. On a technical level, I am accustomed to working with switching, routing, VLANs, IPsec/SSL VPNs, NAT, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, 802.1X, GRE, NAC, load balancers, firewalls, network segmentation, high availability, and hybrid architectures.

My approach is practical and hands-on: understanding the client's context well, scoping risks, proposing a realistic solution, and accompanying the execution so that the result is stable, maintainable, and useful for the business. I also incorporate automation and AI applied to IT operations when it provides real value: visibility, incident reduction, and improvement of the day-to-day operations for infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.
