Development of the Android application for We2Me. We2Me is an application based on rewarding users for good behavior. We also collaborated in the development of the business model.

For the development of the application, we used the Clean Architecture pattern in Android Studio (Java7), as well as Retrofit with Observables for server calls and Dependency Injection. The application also has push notifications and analytics with Firebase.

The Parc Barcelona application facilitates finding parking in Barcelona. Through the app, parking spaces can be opened and payments managed from the end customer.

Our work on the application was carried out in two stages. A first stage where we created an Android demo so they could present the application to potential investors and future clients.

And a second stage, once our client validated the demo. In this second stage, we developed the mobile application for Android, iOS, and the Web Service (on AWS). The Web Service uses a third-party API to open and close the parking gates, allowing the user to access using the mobile application. Currently, the application is still being developed by third parties and is one of the most cutting-edge applications in the sector.

Technologies and APIs used: Java, Swift, Google Maps API, Firebase (tracking), Retrofit/Alamofire (server connection), Stripe (in-app payments).

Baby UP was our first major project. It was a mobile application that aided in the optimal development of babies during their first year of life, through family games and in a 100% adaptive manner. Even today, there are no mobile applications that adapt to the developmental pace of babies like Baby UP did.

It was the first project where Ainhoa and I started working together, both developing on Android (back in 2014, we didn't develop on iOS yet). In addition to the Android application, we developed the Server in Java+Hibernate and hosted it on AWS.

Beyond the technical aspect, which was vital for us to become freelancers later, the most important part of this stage is the human aspect. We worked side-by-side with a large team of volunteers, over 10 people, who dedicated their free time to make the Baby UP application a reality. With them, we created over 1,000 activities for babies, participated in several entrepreneurship programs, thanks to which we were able to attend the Baby and Mom fair at Ifema in 2016 with our own stand. We managed to run advertising campaigns on Google AdWords where for €1 per day we acquired 30 users per month, with CPCs well below €0.10, reaching over 1,000 downloads on Google Play.

In short, it was an incredible experience where we gained business perspective and grew as professionals and as individuals.
