About Jonathan

I am Jonathan Dumaz, a young engineer graduated in computer science and electronics for embedded systems at Polytech Grenoble. After an initial experience as a contractor engineer, I decided to embark on the adventure of self-employment to gain more autonomy and cross-functional skills. I specialize in the development and testing of software on embedded targets, in C, C++ and Python. I am autonomous, proactive and I particularly appreciate discovering new tools and learning new working methods.
I am available for on-site missions in the departments of the two Savoies as well as the canton of Geneva, and can also take on remote missions.

This internship during the 4th year of the engineering program in Computer Science and Electronics for Embedded Systems took place at the VSB Technical University of Ostrava, in the CPIT laboratory, in the Czech Republic. The internship subject was proposed and supported by Professor Bohumil Horak, PhD. It focused on the creation of a prototype bidirectional charger for electric vehicles capable of providing V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) services. This charger can charge an electric car battery but also discharge it to convert its energy into a current capable of powering an electrical grid. This can be useful particularly at the domestic level to compensate for a lack of electricity or to store electricity produced by local renewable energy exploitation. The creation of the bidirectional charger was successful, with the implementation of functions such as Wi-Fi control, several charging modes, battery lifespan management, and the ability to communicate via the CAN protocol to obtain battery status. The results of the tests carried out on the charger are convincing, and a patent is expected to be filed as it is an innovative technology in the Czech Republic.
