Johan Picot

History consultant since 2019 (PhD thesis from Jean Moulin-Lyon 3 University in 2012) – operating within my company “Arca communis” – I work in the field of historical research and, in general, in the area of cultural and heritage engineering.

Based in Auvergne, I offer my services and make my skills available to all (public and private actors) who wish to know, enhance, and promote Heritage and History. I thus work on behalf of individuals, learned societies, archaeological investigation firms, university research programs, museums, tourist offices, municipalities, as well as large private sector companies.

In particular, I offer the creation of inventories of archives or movable property, archival research, and the writing of historical summaries, updating educational and museographic content, creating mediation tools, giving public lectures, and I have been directing the publication of a scientific journal for over twelve years.

I also commit to maintaining personal scientific research (regular publication of articles; participation in conferences).

Finally, I am also President of the Academy of Sciences, Belles-Lettres et Arts of Clermont-Fd (elected in March 2026).
