Led the migration of legacy data platforms at Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME), part of SIX Group, to Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), redesigning ingestion, processing, and governance layers.

Delivered EMIR REFIT regulatory reporting compliance for EU (ESMA) and UK EMIR (FCA), integrating with the trade repository REGIS-TR, ensuring ISO 20022 alignment, UTI/UPI management, reconciliation and pairing controls, and full audit traceability.

Led the development and migration of all data projects using a common inner-source framework, including the upgrade from Apache Spark 2.4.8 (Java 8) to Spark 3.3.2 (Java 11) and later Spark 3.5.4 (Java 17).

Achieved cost savings of several hundred thousand euros and process runtime reductions between 30% and 90% in reconciliation report generation.

Participated in multiple Proofs of Concept and presales engagements with Amazon Web Service, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Databricks, supporting solution design, technical validation, and client decision-making.

Led the modernization of Orange’s call routing platform, connecting customers with the most suitable agents to reduce wait times, improve first-contact resolution, and significantly enhance customer satisfaction.

Developed an anonymized customer segmentation solution for Zurich and Mapfre to identify the most suitable clients for cross-selling of insurance products. The segmentation was designed under an experimentation framework, with continuous performance monitoring through statistical analysis and checks on individuals outside the target group to ensure stability and effectiveness.

Collaborated with Acuratio by provisioning an anonymized training dataset for their federated learning framework, enabling privacy-preserving analysis across organizations. Supported the operationalization of the model by monitoring model performance over time to ensure results remained consistent and reliable.

Designed and implemented a cloud-based EIAC data exchange solution for insurers such as Zurich and Mapfre, enabling secure and efficient integration of insurance data flows to accelerate joint digital offerings.

Developed an internal application for incident management, compensations, and billing adjustments, reducing manual processes and improving trust.​

Led the development of Genasys’s Cell Broadcast solution integrated into the Genasys Emergency Management (GEM) platform, enabling direct geo-targeted emergency alerts through mobile carrier networks. Collaborated with the University of Málaga’s MORSE research lab to rigorously test the system over 4G/5G networks, validating end-to-end alert delivery and a consistent user experience across diverse mobile devices. The solution was successfully piloted in international public alert trials, strengthening national emergency warning capabilities and aligning with EU-wide public warning regulations.
