I have been working for over 20 years in the IT sector and during all this time, I have been able to observe how the ways of acting between users and their production processes have changed.

I started as a developer of desktop applications for Windows in Visual Basic/Visual C++.

The internet boom changed my responsibilities to web browser application developer, first in ASP/PHP and then JSP/Java, later moving to middleware processes in the same language.

The popularization of mobile devices and embedded architectures made me change my perspective again and focus on mobile device application development, first natively, then with Android and later with HTML5/javascript (phonegap/jquerymobile)/phonegap.

I had the opportunity to work with embedded architectures; and play with them professionally (RTOS, LXPresso, Raspberry PI, Arduino, ARM assembler; ATMega assembler, PIC assembler, VHDL Spartan FPGA). The fact that something that has been programmed (hardly programmed, as there is a higher degree of difficulty in this world), translates into the behavior of a machine; gave me great satisfaction...

Finally, the rise of cloud technologies such as AWS, Microservices, Grid, Docker, Kubernetes, Machine Learning, IoT, etc... has made me change my perspective again; and now I am focused on this connected world.

I don't know what the future holds, but the infinite possibilities and new challenges it offers make this profession absolutely exciting.
