Fullstack Developer & Scrum Master — Software Publisher

Within an agile Scrum team of 15 people, the fullstack developer role was accompanied by the Scrum Master function from the end of 2015. This dual positioning made it possible to combine technical contribution and team leadership, while ensuring customer training in England and Germany as well as carrying out POCs for clients in the consulting part of Bearing Point.

Frontend — Development and maintenance of an AngularJS Single Page Application, with integration of advanced data visualizations (D3.js, Plotly, nvd3), interactive mapping via Leaflet (clusters, dynamic heatmaps) and efficient display of large volumes in lazy loading. Migration from Bootstrap to Angular Material and IE9 compatibility ensured in a Big Data context.

Backend & API — Refactoring of the existing API into a stateless architecture, implementation of custom Express middlewares, an authentication reverse proxy, and inter-node master/slave communication via ZeroMQ. Development of a stream-optimized CSV parser and a job and notebook management system (Jupyter, Zeppelin), with MongoDB as the NoSQL foundation.

Data & Algorithmic — Integration of Scikit-learn algorithms and optimization of proprietary algorithms in Scala Spark, with integration into the overall solution.

CI/CD & Environment — Modernization of development tooling through migration of JavaScript build to Gulp, standardization of the environment with a Miniconda Python distribution, and implementation of a complete continuous integration chain (Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Slack webhooks) including unit, functional, and code coverage tests.
