The project

Directed since 2017 by Sandrine Mini, the TMS is an association chaired by Jean-François Marguerin, which receives support from the State, local authorities, and a significant club of patron companies. Each season, it offers a multidisciplinary program of about fifty shows at the Théâtre Molière in Sète and in the fourteen other towns in the Thau basin, thus contributing to the development and territorial cultural planning.

Within a network of over 78 national venues, the TMS, one of the few venues with a dedicated MADE IN SÈTE production office, promotes performing arts by opening them to a wider audience, focusing on contemporary creation, supporting artists, and developing a program for children and youth, TMS 3 → 20 years.

The Subsistances are a cultural venue for performance and artistic production located in the 1st arrondissement of Lyon, which today combines Les SUBS, a place for creation (theater, dance, circus, performance, visual and digital arts) for artistic practice and living, the recording studios of the association Les Disques Supadope, and since 2007, the École nationale des beaux-arts de Lyon. The site includes 22,500 m2 of buildings (including 8,300 m2 of renovated area) and 16,000 m2 of land.

Location

The Subsistances are located at no. 8 bis quai Saint-Vincent[1], on the left bank (northeast side) of the Saône, 350 m downstream from the Pont Kœnig[2], at the foot of the Croix-Rousse hill and opposite the Fourvière hill[3],[4].
