Web developer for my startup and then as a Freelancer on various projects, I have always focused on the performance and maintainability aspects of the code, without obviously neglecting those of security and reliability. My studies at INSA de Lyon and my professional career have made me very aware of these issues.
How to get there?
Thanks to the mix of powerful and recognized technologies:
- Ruby on Rails: used on the Backend side, it is a powerful Framework that greatly facilitates the security aspects and clearly structures the code. The Ruby language allows you to develop quickly and keep the code readable thanks to a syntax of great simplicity.
- Vue.js / Svelte / ReactJS: used on the Frontend side, these technologies allow you to structure the code and facilitate development. When used well, they not only improve the user experience, but also the performance by relieving the server of certain tasks.
- Bootstrap / Bulma: used on the Frontend side, it allows you to make your sites "Responsive Design", that is to say that it adapts to the size of the screen used, whether it is mobile, tablet or screen.
- Nginx / Puma (or Passenger): respectively the Reverse Proxy and the Web server, they are the ones who will manage the requests to the Backend and contribute to the security aspects (https, protocol limitation, content security policy, ...), performance (compression, cache, multi-threading, ...) and reliability (load-balancing, ...).

As part of his mission, Jean-Yves was rigorous, efficient and had an excellent team spirit.
Very concretely:
* on the front end, the designs are integrated almost perfectly (and quickly)
* on the back end, his rails expertise makes him completely autonomous or allows him to collaborate/support the other developers on the team
* Jean-Yves arrives every morning prepared with his notes on his work done the day before to be able to exchange more easily with the rest of the team (and have an effective daily scrum)
* he gladly accepts feedback on pull requests and really wants to learn from others
* he is proactive on projects when he sees possible improvements
* he is open to training on new technologies. Jean-Yves joined the team with a good command of react and quickly trained on vue.js and svelte. Similarly on the back end where we used graphiti and graphql on which Jean-Yves has become proficient with brio
In the end, Jean-Yves is a fullstack developer that I highly recommend, both for his technical skills and for his soft skills
