About Jean Silvin

Editor and colorist, specializing in narrative editing for cinema, documentary, and branded audiovisual content.

I help you transform your footage into a coherent film: structure, rhythm, dramaturgy, all the way to image lock. Depending on your needs, I also handle color grading up to the final master.

I have edited several short fiction films and documentaries that have been screened at festivals and competitions (Sabou Ciné Talents, Soul Bang's & Manamba Kanté Foundation, Keyfa Event), as well as institutional projects. Currently studying at ESAV Marrakech, with elite training funded by the French Embassy, I work with Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.

What sets me apart: an editing approach considered as writing in itself, not just a simple cut-and-paste job. Every shot has an intention, every cut serves the narrative.

I work on short formats (clips, commercials, branded content) as well as long formats (short films, documentaries, series). Based in Marrakech, available for one-off or recurring projects.

    kookama is a post-production studio for cinema and audiovisual. We handle the editing, color grading, sound, and VFX/motion design of your already shot footage, up to the delivery of the master. Based between Conakry, Marrakech, and Paris, we work with filmmakers (directors, producers, production houses) as well as agencies and brands, to bring their films up to cinema standards.
    Our conviction: editing is not a finishing touch, it's where the film is truly born.
