Experience

  • Appnexus / Xandr
    Senior Software Engineer
    April 2016 - June 2022 (6 years and 3 months)
    Quimper, France
AppNexus was acquired by AT&T in 2018, then renamed Xandr following this acquisition.

From 2016 onwards, I focused more on development tasks while still maintaining an Ops role as we managed our applications' production autonomously.

    Main projects:
    • Product design and backend development (Python/Flask/SQLAlchemy) of an internal application for incident management.
    • Participation in a project to detect pornographic websites (Machine Learning). I was mainly responsible for data pre-processing, result validation, and the production deployment of the model created by a data science team.
    • Implementation of the Apache Airflow solution for managing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) jobs. I participated in providing local development environments (docker-compose), the production deployment of the cluster and DAGs, and operational maintenance. I was responsible for the DAGs architecture and associated tests.
    • Migration of a PostgreSQL database (analysis of data and associated applications, action plan preparation, script development, coordination of different teams).
    • Migration of CentOS systems to Ubuntu for multiple applications (Debian packaging, Infrastructure as Code with Puppet).
Python Airflow Puppet Docker Ansible Vagrant PostgreSQL Bash DevOps CI/CD
  • Appnexus
    System administrator
    June 2014 - March 2016 (1 year and 9 months)
    Quimper, France
Following the acquisition of Alenty by AppNexus, I continued to maintain Alenty's infrastructure and migrated part of the applications to AppNexus's servers.
Linux Git Puppet Jenkins Bash DevOps CI/CD
  • Alenty
System and Network Administrator / DevOps
    March 2011 - June 2014 (3 years and 3 months)
    Quimper, France
Alenty offered a solution for measuring the visibility of online advertisements. The company was acquired in June 2014 by the American company AppNexus, a specialist in programmatic advertising.

I managed the entire system architecture autonomously, in close collaboration with the engineering team, in a DevOps environment.

The infrastructure was hosted at OVH (bare-metal) and AWS, and comprised over 100 servers (physical and virtual).

    Main projects:
    • Migration of the real-time data collection platform from OVH to AWS, with high availability and high traffic constraints (peaks of 20,000 requests/sec). The architecture was based on EC2, ELB, AutoScaling Group, S3.
    • Design of a platform for executing Selenium tests (tests in browsers, both desktop and mobile).
Linux Debian OVH Amazon Web Services Apache Apache Tomcat Nagios Centreon Graphite Ruby Python Jenkins Atlassian JIRA KVM libvirt OpenVPN Tinc Docker DevOps CI/CD
