Position: Innovation & Intellectual Property Manager

Mission and Responsibility: Innovation Manager (Structure / organize R&D activities, prepare innovation funding applications, lead a collaborative research project for the design of a connected lamp for Horticulture "smart farming" integrating various technical fields (Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, Big data, Blockchain, LED, Horticulture) with academic and private partners in the fields (IT, electronics).

Facilitate collaborative R&D teams with partners (CNRS, Institut National Polytechnique, Junior Enterprises of pharmacy faculties) for the design of a new drug around topics (Technological watch, creativity, definition / validation of innovation directions).

Manage Intellectual Property (oversee patentability studies, develop and manage the company's intellectual property strategy, ensure interface with Intellectual Property Consulting Firms / national and international intellectual property offices, manage the implementation of partnership research agreements).

- Study and draft a policy note on the applications of Artificial Intelligence to Horticulture.

- Study and draft a note on the industrial development strategy within the framework of a partnership between the INVIVO group and DELLED SAS.

- Study and draft a note on the valuation of the company's R&D activities within the framework of a private investor's equity investment project.

- Develop the institutional network of the innovation ecosystem and participate in change management missions for the company's innovative projects (meetings with regional presidents / parliamentarians / relevant ministries).

Role: Provide and deploy methodological tools within DELLED R&D (technological and strategic watch, creativity, feasibility study, Intellectual Property, Functional Analysis, Value Analysis, Eco-design, Design for Cost, Design for Manufacture and Assembly, Project Management, Innovation Valorization / Marketing, Innovation Financing: manage BPI applications / R&D tax credits / European R&D project calls), develop strategic partnerships within the company's innovation network (academic institutions, competitiveness clusters).

Result: Prototype of a connected and eco-designed horticultural LED lamp "Hortimind", range of innovative services formalized within the framework of AI applications to plant photonics research activities, trademarks and solo envelopes filed, patentability studies underway on certain components, obtained a BPI grant (Banque Publique d’Investissement, France) for the development of the connected lamp; winner of the fundraising competition organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Maine et Loire in November 2017 for innovative startups, first winner of the startup competition at the Paris International Agricultural Show (Agreen startup 2018) / award presented by Mr. Stéphane Travert, Minister of Agriculture, selected and funded to participate in the French delegation at the "Techinnovation" International Show in Singapore with the developed solution "Hortimind", Raised €3.5 million (including €500,000 in public funding) for continued R&D.
