Jean-François Tanda

Jean François Tanda is a lawyer and award-winning journalist. As a lawyer, he worked in the legal department of Swiss Radio and Television SRF, as the legal central secretary of the professional association "Impressum", and at the chair for Civil and Commercial Law of Prof. em. Peter Gauch at the University of Fribourg. As a journalist, he was an investigative reporter and business editor for Swiss and foreign media, including Swiss Television SRF, The Economist (UK), Handelszeitung (CH), Facta Magazine (JPN), Die Welt (D).

Today, he advises and supports law firms, financial market players, start-ups, and non-profit organizations in sports business and journalism, among others. His services include strategic legal communication, media and public relations, communication, and open-source intelligence.

Jean François holds a bilingual licentiate in law from the University of Fribourg (lic. iur., mentions "bilingual" and "European Law"), as well as an LL.M. in International Business Law from the City Law School, University of London. He completed a Diploma of Advanced Studies in General Management (MLP-HSG) and a CAS in Negotiation Skills (CGN-HSG) at the Executive School of Management, Technology and Law at the University of St. Gallen. He also holds a postgraduate diploma in journalism from the MAZ Swiss School of Journalism.
