Technical supervision of ~50 learners across multiple cohorts (in-person and remote), on the entire modern data stack: Python, SQL, dbt, Power BI, Snowflake.

Daily:

Code reviews, debugging, imparting engineering best practices (dbt modularity, Git versioning, ETL/ELT architecture) and support on real business cases.

This role taught me as much as the learners themselves; explaining a concept forces you to truly master it.

As part of a tourism revitalization strategy, the city of Yonezawa relied on manual field surveys involving agents for several days per site. The objective was to modernize this approach by automating the collection and analysis of traveler data.

Cleaning and structuring survey data using Python (Pandas) to transform qualitative feedback into territorial performance indicators.

Exploratory analysis by demographic segment: identifying key trends and correlations between budgets and types of activities sought.

Design of a self-service analytical dashboard (Streamlit + Plotly) allowing stakeholders to filter results by traveler profile.

Presentation in the form of 3 actionable buyer personas to guide marketing campaigns and the creation of tourism products.

Result: complete elimination of manual field surveys and their recurring logistical costs. Transition from a process that involved agents for several days to a tool accessible in real-time.

Beyond reception and daily front desk management, I progressively took charge of monitoring and analyzing the establishment's operational KPIs: occupancy rate, RevPAR, service times, customer satisfaction.

Utilizing CRM data to identify friction points in the customer journey and propose corrective actions to management.

Regular interface between operational teams and management to translate data into concrete service improvement decisions.

It was in this role that I developed the habit of always looking at what the numbers really say, before looking for solutions.
