Beth Cohen

Beth Cohen was born in 1979 in Cheshire, England, her mother being British and her father Australian. She studied drama and music in Manchester (1997-2001) and later specialized in Shakespeare at the Globe Theatre in London (2002). She first performed before an audience at the early age of 5 in the role of the fairy Mustardseed in A Midsummer Night's Dream, a play she has reprised throughout her career on various occasions and in different roles. Notable roles she has played in the theater include: Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream (Infanta Isabel Theater in Madrid), Juliet in Romeo and Juliet (Old Vic Theater in London/tour of Germany) and Mme Giry in Phantom of the Opera (Poliorama Theater, Barcelona).

In 2003 she moved to Spain, beginning a long professional collaboration with the gestural theater company Face 2 Face, which continues to this day. She is also known for her roles for television and film, such as the feature film Snow in Benidorm (dir. Isabel Coixet) or the series Glow & Darkness, a project by José Luis Moreno about the life of Saint Francis of Assisi.

Currently her professional activity takes place in Madrid and Barcelona, carrying out fiction, advertising and corporate filming projects in both Spanish and her native English. In her free time she enjoys horses, the countryside, reading, cooking and, of course, going to the theater, which has always been her greatest passion.
