Experience

  • Turnstile
    Head of Sponsorship Valuation
    November 2020 - October 2022 (1 year and 11 months)
    London, UK
Turnstile is disrupting the sports industry with an innovative and data-driven approach to sponsorship pricing and evaluation. My role as Head of Sponsorship Valuation was to oversee the delivery of all client projects, coach and develop our team of analysts and drive the development of our market-leading approach to quantifying the commercial value of sponsorships. In my two years in the role I oversaw the delivery of valuations and strategic advice for 135 different properties across the Sport and Entertainment landscape working with some of the biggest rights holders, brands and investors in the world. Clients included Arsenal FC, UEFA, World Rugby, the ICC, Toyota, adidas, HSBC, Newcastle United, the British and Irish Lions, Formula E and CVC Capital to name a few. In total, I oversaw the delivery of sponsorship valuations to the tune of $2.4 billion in annualised value. In addition to client delivery, I was also responsible for the development of our internal processes relating to client delivery and drove significant strides in both the accuracy of the valuation methodology (in total across our valuations our model was accurate to within 3% of the transaction fee) and also the efficiency with which the team could deliver valuations.
  • NEWTON EUROPE
    Lead Consultant
    December 2018 - November 2020 (1 year and 11 months)
My role as a lead consultant involves leading and developing a team to deliver major workstreams through rigorous design and effective change management. I am also a development manager for consultants outside of my project to support their development and well-being Key Successes:
    - Supported the build of a Nightingale hospital through working with the local host trust to ensure that the materials management processes were established in time for opening and the requirements to support them were built into the site design, procurement and resourcing plans
    - Designed and led a 3-month assessment of a department of a major UK defence contractor, presenting the resulting benefits case to the MC
    - Managed a team to design, trial and implement a new system of work spanning two business functions. Worked with digital and resourcing workstreams to deliver several millions of pounds of benefit
    - Supported the team to follow Newton's Change Management approach and oversaw the development of communications plans, training material, briefings and recognition events
    - Coached key members of the client to manage performance more effectively by utilising metrics and building leadership techniques
  • NEWTON EUROPE
    Senior Consultant
    September 2017 - December 2018 (1 year and 3 months)
My role as a senior consultant involved delivering workstreams, managing 1-2 consultants and supporting the delivery of internal training. Key successes:
    - Led the pilot of a new way of working in a particularly challenging area of a complex build programme to demonstrate the process we had designed would deliver the required benefit, enabling the project to move from design and into implementation
    - Owned the sustainability approach for a programme delivering >£15m annualised benefit to the client. That approach is now being used across Newton on several other projects, ensuring our programmes deliver continual benefit
