About Ionas

I have always been interested in technology, an interest that developed when I entered high school, particularly when I discovered software development, which sparked my desire to pursue a career in this field.

During my years of higher education and up to my Master's degree, I was introduced to many fields, such as: high-performance programming, cryptography, security, and the web.

Naturally curious, I seriously invested myself in web development and am currently a Fullstack developer at Takima on a mission for a luxury leader. I continue to progress in security, performance, and code optimization as part of my mission, even if it's not its main focus, because these subjects appeal to me.

During my mission at a luxury leader, I immersed myself in the business context and used my developer and consultant skills with an approach always guided by client needs. I know how to be adaptable and flexible, and I enjoy analyzing problems submitted to me in their entirety.

I apply my skills and develop new ones to best meet the challenges of the missions entrusted to me.

Fullstack developer on a mission for a leader in the luxury market.

I was part of the Logistics squad, whose mission is to equip all the company's logistics stakeholders to facilitate package tracking, warehouse inventories, order preparation, etc...

The squad consisted of 10 developers, 1 Tech Lead, and 4 Product Owners who managed 15 applications and about ten micro-services using agile methodologies.

During my mission, I became cross-functional across all the squad's projects to intervene on each of them according to the needs of the different business units.

I performed maintenance and development on various applications, here are some tasks performed:

    • Development of web, mobile (PWA), and micro-service applications within the logistics scope usingReact&Spring boot
    • Creation of internal tools (SDK, libs, starters, ...)
    • Support for applications in production
    *Technical leadfor applications & micro-services
    • Technical migrations
    • Implementation of team practices focused on quality:Pair/Mob Programming, TDD, DDD, CDD, Agility

Thanks to the trust given by the client during this mission, I was able to take on additional responsibilities, allowing me to move closer to the Tech Lead role:
    • Onboarding of new developers
    • Facilitator of bi-weekly technical meetings
    • Responsible for IAM migrations
    • Client consulting on technical & architectural choices

In parallel with my client mission, I also contributed to several initiatives within Takima:
    • Manager of 2 employees
    • Reviewer of an internal training chapter on persistence with Hibernate
    • Creation and presentation of an internal conference on Kotlin

Hui is an HR event management application that integrates with the management and planning applications that make up Takima's information system. Its primary purpose is to facilitate the tracking of HR events that mark the careers of Takima employees.

Its objective is to provide for each Takima employee a timeline of the significant events in their career: various interviews with their manager (follow-up interviews, objective interviews, and annual interviews...), discussions with the sales team, changes in assignments, etc...
The application is built in close collaboration with Takima managers, as it was designed to simplify their organization, planning, and career follow-up information reporting.

To achieve this, it integrates with numerous tools: SAP, electronic document signing, Google Apps, etc...

To adapt the backlog as closely as possible to feedback from future users, the project is managed in Kanban mode with a delivery cycle that respects two-week iterations.

The team consists of six developers, two technical referents, and a Scrum Master.

    I performed the following tasks:

    • Separation of Hui and Itewa. Initially, Hui was a module grafted onto another internal project, Itewa. I separated the two applications by moving Hui's code to a new project.
    • Writing SQL scripts describing the tables of Hui's new schema.
    • Development of a CRON task to retrieve user information from SAP to synchronize it with the database.
    • Retrieving consultant assignment information from a spreadsheet via the Google API to synchronize user information in the database.
    • Writing numerous unit tests for the different application services.
    • Implementation of integration tests.

    Fullstack Developer Training "Master 3"
    CONSULTING AND AUDITS
    April 2022 - June 2022 (3 months)

“Craftsmanship is a discipline that is passed on”.

By participating in the Takima Master 3 training, I understood the importance of having a solid foundation on a cross-functional technical base, knowing best practices, and mastering tools.

Takima bets on providing its recruits with its best experts on each subject to design and update training. They transmit years of best practices condensed into a few hours, as well as the best design reflexes during theoretical courses and code reviews.

The demanding and intense training is divided into 13 chapters around a common thread: the development of a full-stack marketplace.

Over a period of 10 weeks, the topics covered are:
    • Dev/Devops: Git, Docker, Docker-compose, Gitlab CI/CD, Unit Tests and TDD
    • Dev Back: Java, Kotlin, Maven, REST, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, PostgreSQL, Flyway
    • Dev Front: ES, Typescript, SCSS and React

The context of implementation for each of these technologies is presented, as well as their role in modern web application architectures. Perspectives are given on alternative, less “mainstream” architectures (reactive architectures, event-driven architectures). Cross-cutting themes are addressed such as performance, security and GDPR, databases (RDBMS and NoSQL databases) …

    What the training brought me:
    • An overview of the different technologies.
    • Best practices to apply within a project.
    • The functioning of agile methods.
    • Learning about the operation of continuous deployment and integration.
    • DevOps skills.
