About Ines

Originally from Nancy, I completed my high school in overseas territories, and then arrived in Lyon for a degree in Law and Political Science. Shaped by my experience overseas, my perspective is outward-looking. Passionate about the Middle East, I decided to go to Tel Aviv, where I stayed for 6 months, during an internship with Amnesty International. This experience in the Middle East considerably developed my knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Back in France, I completed a Master's degree in Journalism at the School of Journalism of Aix-Marseille and Sciences Po Aix. In parallel, I wrote articles on the Middle East for the Open Diplomacy Institute and became a Correspondent for La Provence. A columnist on a local Marseille radio station for 4 months, I then started as an editor at Les Clés du Moyen-Orient and had the opportunity to intern at France Inter, in the Reporting department.
In the summer of 2017, I went to Iraq to produce a series of reports in Mosul and Iraqi Kurdistan. This experience profoundly marked me and confirmed my desire to become an International Correspondent.
Subsequently, I completed a 6-month internship at LCI, during which I developed my skills in editorial, video editing, and filming as an editorial assistant for the production of a live political program.
At the end of this internship, I returned to the Middle East: I worked as a freelance reporter for two years in Israel/Palestine, where I worked for Les Clés du Moyen-Orient, L'Echo, 15-38 Méditerranée, and Les News 24, as well as Kapaw.
I am currently a freelance journalist based in Beirut, Lebanon.
