In the development of CIZ applications (microservices), my role is focused on building and optimizing robust applications/integrations that enable CIZ to exchange information with various agencies such as municipalities, care offices, and police. This is achieved through microservices that send, receive, and process messages.

I worked on the development of a Java Spring Boot application that assists Dutch citizens in gaining access to the US Global Entry program, by performing background checks with various Dutch agencies. For one of these, travelers no longer have to wait three hours in line at US customs, significantly improving the travel experience.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Developing the backend with Java/Spring Boot, including business logic for processing background checks.

• Integrating with Dutch agencies via various APIs to retrieve and process necessary data.

• Building a clear and intuitive frontend that allows users to easily check their application status.

In the development of the IKM (ZEM) applications within the RVO contact center, my role was focused on building and optimizing a robust application that enables employees to quickly and clearly consult relevant information about relationships to assist customers efficiently. This was achieved by retrieving data from over 30 source systems via REST and SOAP web services.

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Implementation of REST and SOAP integrations to expose data from various source systems.

• Implementation of caching mechanisms, data storage, and other performance-enhancing techniques.

• Implementation of JWT token-based authentication to secure data streams.

• Development of the application interface using Angular.

• Migrating applications to the Rancher/Kubernetes container platform.

• Working in an Agile SAFe environment.
