Hugo Fontvieille

Purse, founded in Lille in 2021 in the payments sector, aims to manage transactions for major French retailers. The team grew from less than 10 members to over 65, collaborating with retail giants like Auchan, Decathlon, Chronodrive, and Vertbaudet.

I joined the Purse team, in an agile environment, to participate in the frontend development of various applications and sites such as a back-office for merchants, a demo site, online documentation, a showcase site, etc.

Participated in various job interviews: frontend developer, UI/UX Designer, PO...

I carried out several refactorings that improved the stability of the back-office and reduced CI time by 100%. I also undertook a migration from CRA to Vite.js on a substantial codebase that required many changes.

To improve project quality, I contributed to setting up end-to-end Cypress tests, as well as Jest unit tests.

YouTrace is a SaaS offering from the French media group Trace: a company specializing in Afro-urban music and entertainment. Through its 29 pay-TV channels and radio stations, the company reaches an audience of 350 million people in over 189 countries.

This project aims to connect artists and music video producers worldwide, and to offer various services for artists globally.

My work was carried out in close collaboration with the Head of Music at Trace, and a Java backend developer. The size of the team allowed us to execute the different project phases for the application's design with great reactivity, ensuring a very short time-to-market.

My responsibilities included:

- Design of user journeys and interfaces.

- Frontend development in React, focusing on code performance and modularity.

- Co-design of API contracts with the backend developer.

- This role allowed me to strengthen my skills in application architecture, interdisciplinary collaboration, and creating tailored solutions for an international audience.

Covering all areas of scientific research, the CNRS is a global player in knowledge production and dissemination. Across 10 institutes, over 32,000 researchers, engineers, and technicians drive research daily.

During this assignment, I managed a project from conception to deployment. This project included creating interactive mockups and developing an integrated backend and frontend solution, an enriching experience.

My responsibilities included:

- Negotiation and compromise management with a group of demanding researchers, while maintaining high code quality and a simple, modern interface.

- Project Architect: Choosing Wordpress for its editorial efficiency and Gatsby, based on React.js, to optimize the developer experience.

- Designing a design system and a library of aesthetic components for an intuitive and attractive user interface.

- Implementing a solution to migrate over 1000 articles from English/French blogs.

This role refined my skills in project management, client relations, and custom solution development.
