. Upgrade of databases from version 12c to 19c

• Optimization of processing performance and diagnostics using (AWR, ASH, and ADDM Performance, Execution Plans…)

• Manage data access security (access controls, privileges...).<0xC2><0xA0>

• ORACLE database backup and recovery.

• Duplicate databases using RMAN.

• Analysis and correction of anomaly reports.

CONTEXT:

Production database administrator for the Banque de France, in a team of 6 level 3 members.

We are responsible for the administration and supervision of all databases (ORACLE and PostgreSQL).

Tasks:

• Databases running on non-EXADATA platforms (AIX, HP-UX, Linux Redhat)

• Review of all database parameters to achieve good performance: collection of dictionary statistics, system, fixed_object, database with extended statistics and histogram for version 12C databases

• Search for BUGS caused by ORA-00700, ORA-04031 impacting performance (shared memory leak)

• Analysis of AWR, ADDM, SQLHC reports, using dbms_sqltune to tune databases facing poor performance

• Full and incremental RMAN backup on TSM servers.

• Implementation of a procedure for duplicating and updating production to pre-production databases.

• Application of Datapatch for databases.

• Deploy OEM (Cloud Control 13C) on the Oracle server to monitor databases.

• Migration from oracle11R2 database to oracle 12c and oracle 19c.

• Implementation of the Dataguard system with broker (both primary and standby databases) for several production databases.

• Resolution of production issues

• Detection and reconstruction of fragmented indexes

• Online physical backup with PgBackrest or pg_rman

• Migration of databases from version 9.6 to version 11.6 with pd_dumpall, psql or pg_upgrade

• Convert Oracle to PostgreSQL with ora2pg

Technical environment: Redhat Linux 6.9 server, ASM, ORACLE 11R2, 12C, 19c, shared architecture, Cloud Control 13c R2.

CONTEXT:

Production database administrator at Groupe Canal+, in a team of two level 2 database administrators.

We handle the administration and supervision of all Canal databases (ORACLE, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).

Tasks:

• Provide level 2 support for databases

• Ensure database availability, connectivity, and space management

• Resolve storage issues (Disk and Tablespace)

• Add ASM disks

• Resolve Dataguard issues (LAG, MRP Process, …)

• Implement purge processes on new servers (audit, archivelog, backup, trace, ..)

• Resolve performance issues.

• Supervise database servers on Nagios, Thruk

• Refresh DEV and PreProd databases.

• Define database metrics with the N3 DBA team

• Ensure backups are performed correctly

• Ensure data recovery and restoration of databases to operational condition (disaster recovery) following a major incident

• Handle all types of database issues encountered

• Prepare documentation, test and automate procedures

• Database reorganization, backup, and restore, log shipping, mirroring.

• Creation, management, and deletion of slave/master replication.

• Manage alert escalation to the control team.

• Implement database supervision on Thruk.

• Migration of SQL 2008 R2 databases to SQL 2012 and SQL 2014.

• Manage ETL process session blocking.

• Resolve performance issues using transaction isolation level and bulk insert.

• Export database using pgdump.

• Import database using psql.

• Manage application users (add, delete, reset password)
