Guillaume Hiriart

Creative and passionate entrepreneur, I am Guillaume Hiriart Carriat, designer and founder of Maison Atxi, an independent brand that combines fashion, leather goods, and lifestyle. Coming from a family of tanners for four generations (Tannerie Rémy Carriat, Biarritz), I grew up in an environment where artisanal excellence and leather are at the heart of every project.

After preparatory classes for HEC and a degree at HEC Montreal, I had the opportunity to work alongside Virgil Abloh at Louis Vuitton, then as a designer for Atelier New Regime in Montreal. These experiences allowed me to develop a unique vision: to combine luxury standards, contemporary creativity, and Basque cultural roots.

Today, I support various projects – from collection creation to the design of unique pieces, including the development of accessories, objects, and custom collaborations. My expertise covers the entire creative process: research and inspiration, product design, prototyping, storytelling, and brand strategy.

I enjoy imagining coherent universes, where every detail has meaning. My work draws from craftsmanship, fashion, and design, with a premium yet always sincere and accessible approach. I work on artistic direction, product design, and high-end branding projects.

My ambition: to bring to life unique and timeless creations that carry a strong identity and are part of an authentic narrative.
