Grimont Albane

Graduate architect from EPFL in October 2023. Throughout my studies, I developed knowledge in the field of architecture, and opened myself up to art, design, and scenography. More broadly, I am captivated by everything that influences the qualities of space, perceptions, and the appropriation of it. Considering the narrative tool as the genesis of a spatial identity, I am sensitive to the creation of unique environments that offer users varied experiences. I believe it is essential to work with respect for the context and its users in order to enhance the environment of the spaces involved. In recent years, I have participated in various associations in the architectural field. My involvement with Offset gave me the opportunity to carry out concrete projects. Our project approach favors experimentation over the search for predefined results. We operate from conception to realization. Reconnecting these two phases, too often separated, allows us to work with materials and their implementation in a more conscious and respectful way. At the Lacroix-Chessex firm, I worked on the interior renovation of an apartment in Crans-Montana. At the Materstudio agency, I had the chance to work on the artist's residence at La Ruche in Paris. This confronted me with the different constraints and challenges of rehabilitating heritage buildings. At the SOA agency, I worked on a primary school competition, then on the restructuring of the Schüco carpentry campus. In parallel, I participated in ongoing research on modern and contemporary ruins. Most recently, I collaborated with the agency Les Farouches for the realization of a residential chalet. I was responsible for the design of the interior furniture, and in parallel, I participated in the construction of the secondary works.
