Hello I am Gert,

And I have gained a lot of experience in my career in developing and making products production-ready, both in the Netherlands and in China. It gives me a kick when I can combine form and function and can help projects further by devising workable and seemingly simple solutions. I am happy to roll up my sleeves and get stuck in.

By building prototypes early on that can demonstrate proof of concept, you prevent long and costly development processes and can achieve quick results in a short time. When building prototypes, I focus on the major challenges and bottlenecks within a design quickly become visible.

Often, several iterations are needed to arrive at a feasible product. I carefully document the learning moments and provide advice on what the next goal/focus should be.

Having worked on various projects over the past 20 years, I have a large network in the manufacturing industry in both Europe and China.

The projects I have worked on range from very refined (working under a microscope) to very coarse. I have been involved in, among other things, the development of modular housing, aircraft cabin products and containers, medical tools, and also preventing plastic waste from entering the ocean. Several ideas within these projects have led to patent applications.

Collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams, among others, gives me a lot of energy.
