Gero Wortmann

I design conceptually and across media, enjoying the connection of corporate, web, and print design, often with dynamic / generative identities (programmed design). I have a passion for tension, white space, and fine details.

I have experience with corporate design manuals for large companies (e.g., Siemens, MAN, and Unify, where I contributed to the rebranding - for the agency mmk). For the (former) agency minx communications, I developed the generative structures for the Brand Notebook 07 Structures for Siemens - a part of corporate design with generative visual worlds for web and print. For the unfortunately short-lived art/fashion magazine Idomenee (Paris), I designed the issue 01 (228 pages) and the special issue Art Basel completely. I had the opportunity to design a cover twice for Weave magazine (formerly a subsidiary of Page) and I was a speaker at the Decoded Conference (2012) in Munich. I have also designed abstract programmed structures for the architect Peter Haimerl, e.g., for the facade of the Salvator Garage in Munich or the Tree of the Archive of the Future Lichtenfels.

I create precise, print-ready templates according to print specifications. I also enjoy image editing and montages and have drawn or adapted numerous icon sets, as well as designed and delivered print-ready graphics for several trade fair stands with square-meter-sized images.
