Germain Durand

Before pressing the shutter button, a brief introduction is in order.

I am Germain Durand, a professional photographer based in Nantes, passionate about images, light, and everything that rolls. Born in the late 80s, I grew up between Club Dorothée, K2000, the Taxi and Fast & Furious movies. Varied influences, sometimes offbeat, but always linked to speed, movement, and strong emotions.

It was my grandfather who passed on my love for automobiles: as a child, I spent hours flipping through his magazines. This ritual gave me a sense of detail, technical curiosity, and this fascination for lines and mechanics. Years later, it was at car gatherings that I discovered photography, first with a bridge camera, then quickly with a DSLR. It was a revelation.

Today, I have been making a living from photography for almost ten years. My journey led me from a BTS in Internal Combustion Engines to a degree in Art Direction, before returning to what truly passionate me: telling reality through images.

I mainly work on three areas:

- Corporate photography & professional reporting: highlighting know-how, teams, and professional environments.

- Events & sports: capturing energy, intensity, and key moments.

- Automotive & motorsport: my specialty, with a human and aesthetic approach, notably recognized at the Monovisions Awards.

My approach is based on observation, listening, and rigor. I favor sincere and impactful images, serving your communication and visual identity.
