Geoffrey Fournier

Engineer specialized in signal processing and embedded systems since 2013, I became independent in 2019 with the aim of choosing my learning paths and working on different subjects. Naturally curious, with a need for challenges, I enjoy supporting projects in the research and development phase at TRL levels between 2 and 7.

Passionate about aviation from a young age, I began my career as a software development engineer in a highly regulated environment. I worked on optimizing vibrational algorithms for the Silver Crest project. I then opened up to other fields of application as well as other technologies. I consider myself a generalist engineer with a "low-level" (electronics and hardware-close programming) focus. I started by delving into low-level with skills in FPGA, ASM, board design (8 layers, Altium and Eagle), firmware development (C/C++, STM, ARM), and robotics (RPI, Arduino, Ardupilot, Teensy, Pycom, ...). Then, in a second phase, I became interested in "high-level" (application programming with hardware abstraction) with application and script development (bash, python, C++), web development (Flask, ASP.NET, Meteor (nodejs)), and artificial intelligence development (Scikit, Tensorflow, Pandas, ...).

Accredited CII, I mainly work on research and innovation projects. I collaborate with CNRS and IFREMER on various projects in the maritime domain. I collaborate with other local companies in Reunion Island on topics of Machine learning, embedded systems, and web platforms.

I am open to any new projects that would feed my curiosity to learn or allow me to apply my existing knowledge. For example, I recently trained myself following a mission on the Argos satellite communication system.
