Gao-Lou Ly

Graduated with a BEP in Leather Clothing, I acquired knowledge in leather. I continued my studies by integrating the Baccalaureate in Connected Fashion Industry, specializing in Clothing. This led me to join the applied arts faculty where I got a taste of art and architecture, which gave me a vision of volume and deepened my art culture.

As one of the top students, I was selected by my former Baccalaureate teachers to follow a young self-entrepreneur training. However, wanting to gain more skills in style and creation, I decided to resume my studies to become a fashion designer and join the superior fashion school, Atelier Chardon Savard. I am therefore now a graduate with a degree in "Fashion Designer, Knitwear Option."

MY STYLE AND MY CREATIVE IDENTITY:

Of Asian origin and raised in the suburbs, I learned to appreciate small handmade things like embroidery, as well as the hip-hop universe. These two different worlds are now sources of inspiration for my creations. I am often inspired by what I would like to wear, oversized and clean volumes, straight cuts that sometimes hug the body to enhance it, I play with different materials to bring contrast to strong pieces.

A photography enthusiast, during an internship, I was able to experiment with my creativity by proposing photo compositions, styling the model, organizing a shoot, highlighting the brand's universe, as well as taking photos. In my spare time, I am solicited and collaborate with young designers and artists to shoot and organize shoots. This is an added value in my profession that I like to exploit to broaden my creativity and express my vision of fashion.
