Gaëtan Ruiz

With about ten years of experience in web design, first in agencies and then as a freelancer, I am currently a UI/UX designer and independent WordPress developer in Nantes. My hybrid background, combining creative training in visual communication and web design with technical skills in web development acquired through self-teaching, allows me to develop projects that are both aesthetic and functional. My credo is always to center my proposals on the user, ensuring that each project is imbued with usability and accessibility. I firmly believe that misplaced ego is the main obstacle to collaboration and strive to adopt a humble and ethical approach to each project.

In parallel with my freelance activity, I have been teaching since 2018 in various higher digital schools in the Nantes region. Sharing my knowledge and approach with students is an enriching experience that allows me to be challenged daily to provide them with concrete answers. This training activity now represents half of my time. My pedagogical approach also tends to make my clients and their end-users autonomous in the face of digital challenges, by offering creative and sometimes atypical tailor-made solutions to solve the problems encountered.
