I joined the Institute of Statistical Studies to participate in the development of the data engineering part.

The team consisted, in addition to its director, a statistician, a database specialist, and a reporting officer.

My responsibilities:

• Strategy & Modeling: Translating complex business needs into models and algorithms

• Generative AI: Design and prototyping of a Chatbot using LLM architectures

• Data Engineering: Automation of pipelines and exploratory data analysis

• Software Engineering & Quality: Application of Clean Code (modularity, reusable functions), versioning (Git), and optimization of inference times, production monitoring, bias auditing, technical documentation

• Management & Communication: Presenting results to decision-makers, mentoring junior profiles.

My notable contributions:

• Intelligent email sorting: Automation of routing for 6 million emails/year, optimizing case management time

• Damaged vehicle repair tool (award winner at the Trophées de l'Argus): Development of a digital decision support solution used over 530,000 times

• Accident analysis: Statistical study on two-wheelers and recommendations for road safety.

Technical context: R (Tidymodels, caret, xgboost, e1071, FactoMineR, bnlearn, ompr…), Python (manipulation and modeling: Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, SHAP…); ChatGPT, Gemini (Prompt Engineering techniques); RStudio, Spyder, Jupyter Notebooks, Git; Agile (management of critical P0 flows and priorities); Modular design

Winter & Associés group (whose expertise was integrated by Optimind, then Accenture) was an actuarial consulting firm, serving insurers and companies.

The team consisted of actuaries.

My responsibilities:

• Actuarial and Data Science Studies: Stochastic modeling (Mack), valuation of complex financial liabilities (life annuities, funerals), and predictive analyses for health/provident pricing

• Pricing Expertise: Exploitation of statistical models for defining tailor-made pricing structures

• Software Engineering: Automation of management workflows and creation of data quality control tools (Data Quality)

• Communication: Presenting results and strategic recommendations to decision-makers.

Notable contributions:

• Batch Automation: Development of an application for managing Provident and Collective Health contracts with complete automation of batch processing and management tasks

• Claims Provisioning: Formalization of the provision calculation algorithm, MACK, ensuring greater accuracy of financial commitments

• Strategic Support: Translating technical analyses into proposals for supporting sales teams.

I joined the Information Processing department to perform statistical analysis of market research studies, within a team of 5 statistical technicians.

My responsibilities:

• Statistical Expertise: Performing multidimensional analyses and classifications to segment consumer profiles

• Database Management: Structuring survey data and maintaining interoperability between different processing tools

• Methodological Consulting: Providing technical expertise to study managers for choosing statistical methods and verifying the consistency of results

• Technical Coordination: Monitoring data processing steps, from collection to delivery of results.

• Data Flow Reliability: Implementing consistency check processes on survey data to ensure the quality of deliverables
