Ensemble Protection Sociale was founded in 2001. Following a merger in 2008 and a name change in 2012, its current member organizations are CGP and BPCE. A mutual insurance company following the Grenelle environmental conference.

Following a change in CIO, EPS aims to upgrade its IS, starting with mastering the existing system. The need for a high-level vision as well as detailed infrastructure information is felt. This need is cross-functional and concerns all areas within EPS: Health, Provident, Retirement, Borrower Insurance, and Investment. However, the work will begin with the Health domain, as a back-office version upgrade is scheduled for early 2021.

The IT department has already initiated mapping work. It wishes to finalize a first version before the end of January 2021 to meet regulatory requirements regarding the Solvency II reform.

In an iterative approach, this mapping can then be completed and maintained to effectively manage the IS and conduct impact studies.

Crédit Agricole Assurances has partnered with ABANCA, a Spanish bank, to create a Bancassurance Joint Venture in Spain. ABANCA brings its knowledge of the Iberian market, its client portfolio, its infrastructure, and its support services. Crédit Agricole Assurances contributes to the JV by providing its insurance expertise (products, underwriting, marketing, etc.). The ambition is to launch the Netflix of bancassurance within a very short timeframe: 18 months and across a multitude of product lines, all supported by a digital, Cloud-first, Mobile-first, Omnichannel, and data-centric IS with seamless journeys for employees and customers.

Missions and Work Performed:

• Contribution and challenge of the strategic scoping conducted by McKinsey

• Benchmark of build or buy options

• Definition of the Joint Venture's strategic objectives in collaboration with McKinsey and the client

• Support for the Business Unit in defining processes, UX, and Customer Journeys

• Modeling of the target Business Architecture, definition of Key Design Principles, and positioning of macro SLAs

• Drafting the RFP for Core Insurance, sent to publisher/integrator pairs

• Analysis of the 4 responses with management of 2 senior architects from Deloitte as support

• Participation in the presentations of the 4 publishers/integrators

• Assistance to the client in the final choice of the Core Insurance solution, Cloud vs. On-premise eligibility matrix

• Definition of the detailed target application architecture with hosting of the Core Insurance solution in the Cloud (functional, application, and flow)

The Saint-Gobain Group IT department observes that each Business Unit uses its own integration solutions and methodologies between applications. The diversity of integration solutions used in the BUs and the recent acquisition of a public cloud based on Azure necessitate proposing an integration strategy to the BUs based on their respective uses.

Missions and Work Performed:

• Lot 1 “Integration middleware study”:

o Evaluation of market middleware solutions

o Presentation of a seminar on the state-of-the-art of integration architectures and middleware

o Drafting of a middleware strategic plan

• Lot 2 “Saint Gobain IDS specific study”:

o Definition of a service catalog and its pricing

o Development of an eligibility matrix based on use cases
